Steve Kirvan, Owner/Instructor

Steve Kirvan, Owner/Instructor

Steve started teaching for Fred Astaire Dance Studios (FADS) in Durham, NC in 1992. After completing a six week training class, he has never looked back and has now been teaching ballroom dancing for over 15 years. He competed professionally with FADS for 7 years in both the Rhythm and Smooth Styles; placing within the top 6 to 10 in the Southeastern region and receiving several Top Teacher Awards. Steve moved to Virginia in 2001 to teach for FADS of Virginia Beach.  Steve taught independently at several studios in the Hampton Roads area from 2004 to 2008.  In September of 2008, Steve opened his own dance studio in the Lightfoot area of Williamsburg.  After just 3 years in the Lightfoot area, Steve has now moved to a larger studio in the Williamsburg Crossing Shopping center in Williamsburg.

Steve is certified at the Silver Level and a member of the National Dance Council of America (NDCA).

Steve teaches both group and private lessons; to view his calendar of group class dates and times, Go Here…

Jennifer Kirvan, Owner

Jennifer, a native of Williamsburg, learned of her love for dance after meeting and marrying Steve in 2005.  Jennifer takes care of most of the behind the scenes responsibilities at 7 Cities Ballroom such as: marketing, web site administration and bookkeeping.  Occasionally she helps with group class instruction, but spends most evenings taking care of her and Steve's 18 month old son, Jackson.
